About Forest Sanctuary
Forest Sanctuary is a non-profit Ohio organization founded private supporters and grants related to community betterment, music and the arts. It is a residential, working land project supported by the vision of WholeFam.org.
Visiting students, musicians, teachers, and craftspeople who share a commitment to the preservation of devotional arts are offered exchange and donation based hospitality in the spirit of universal goodwill.
Who is Involved with Forest Sanctuary?
WHOLEFAM is a worldwide collective of matriarchal sanctuaries, third spaces, and regenerative land projects. As with all WholeFam projects, Forest Sanctuary is operated as an independent non-profit land trust stewarded by a founding circle, anchor residents, and a neighborhood advisory group, sharing knowledge, resources, and artisans across the global network.
TrueNorthNeuro.org is a neurodiversity-positive initiative offering rhythm-centered support, sovereignty training, and skill-building for teens and young adults navigating an overwhelming world. While private clinical sessions and LCSW services are provided exclusively in Utah, Forest Sanctuary serves as the national homebase for True North Neuro’s broader educational mission—hosting weekend trainings for young adults, parents, and clinicians in a restorative environment rooted in rhythm and relationship. Based in both Salt Lake City, Utah and Forest, Ohio with a growing number of training partnerships across the country, TrueNorthNeuro.org fosters practical, compassion-based tools to support regulation, connection, and confident self-direction in neurodiverse lives.
VedicArts.org is a devotional learning platform rooted in sacred rhythm, offering practical Vedic studies for modern life. While the school’s teachings span Jyotish, Ayurveda, inner martial arts, sacred ecology, and teacher training, Forest Sanctuary serves as the physical anchor for in-person retreats, mentorship, and seasonal gatherings. Home to the school’s founder and several visiting teachers, the Sanctuary provides a living classroom where students can step out of overwhelm and re-enter harmony with time, nature, and self.
What else is based here?
Forest Sanctuary is the physical home of several interconnected organizations and a wider circle of likeminded friends. A working set of case studies, interviews, and demonstrations in how devotional arts, land care, and quiet architecture can practically restructure broken communities are at the center of all our efforts. Our building is both sanctuary and lab.
