Forest Sanctuary learning stay

Learning stays

Come fall into the everyday cadence of garden, quiet, and shared work — for a day, a weekend, a week, or a season.

Forest Sanctuary is an old country chapel in Forest, Ohio, brought back to life as a garden, a quiet room, and a gathering place. The building still has its stained glass and its pipe organ; the yard holds the StarGarden, twelve beds laid out after the southern Indian jyotish chart. Come step out of the rush and fall into the rhythm we keep here — garden mornings, evening quiet at seven, shared meals, and the slow, steady work of tending an old place.

Resident caretakers

We work with resident caretakers who may be growers, builders, digital nomads, artists, or other stewards seeking a place to live in a quiet rhythm of care. Stays run year round — introductory Saturdays, weekends, weeklong stays, and monthlong caretaker residencies — and there's room for a season or two if it's a good fit.

We're still tending this page — check back soon.
