For a long time, the little room off the chapel was just a room — a place where things got stored, where the old instruments waited, where the acoustics were honestly not great. We knew what it could be. We just had to get to it.
BJ got to it.
The sky and the clouds
He started overhead. Acoustic tiles, cut and shaped into a sky — soft billowing clouds set into the ceiling, the kind of thing you lie down under and feel your shoulders drop. It isn't only pretty. The clouds do real work: they catch the hard reflections and let the room breathe, so a voice or a guitar sits in the air instead of bouncing off the walls.
And then the light. BJ hung a glass lighting piece — a fabulous, summery thing — that turns the whole room golden when the sun moves through it. It's the kind of light that makes you want to stay a little longer. A very summery, inspiring space, is what it is.
The instruments
The studio holds a wide range of acoustic and electronic instruments now — things to learn about, things to pick up and try, things to schedule time with and gently enjoy. Guitars and strings, keys, a few surprises. Nothing behind glass, nothing you can't touch. If you make music, or you want to learn, you can come, see what's here, and book a little time.
